The New American Classics
Think you know California wine? Think again! We are amidst one of the most exciting eras of wine, not only from an International look as we currently have access to some of the exciting regions in the world, BUT most importantly, from a national perspective!
‘The New California Wine’ — have you heard of it? Writer/Critic/Journalist, Jon Bonné, recently wrote this hugely influential book portraying the ‘other side’ of California wine shining light on the characters that are quietly reshaping the face of California wine forever. While the big houses will never go away, the book is a gorgeous look at how this new era of winemakers sustainably, responsibly and passionately are moving forward with their smaller scaled wineries in a BIG way.
The list is long of these influencers, however locally there are a great deal of these gems carried by one of the most influential small distributors in Minnesota, Tradition Wine & Spirits. Owner Michael Kuperman shares his love for these regions & people selling these wines into some of our favorite restaurants & retail shops across the metro. From Revival to Solo Vino Wine Shop, the New Classics can be found in some of the state’s most talked about restaurant & retail joints, and folks just can’t get enough.
