Super Bowl Food + Wine Pairings

Yeah yeah, we know — beer is generally the libation that wins this category.  But not this year, BEER.  We’re coming for ya!  And we’re covering some of the world’s most versatile grapes.  From nachos, to guacamole, chili, pizza, popcorn and buffalo chicken wings — I’ve got a grape pairing for everything on your Super Bowl board this weekend.  In case you missed my live segment with Jason Matheson on his very own, The Jason Show, on Fox 9 this past Thursday — here’s the clip.

Now go on out there and get your wines ready for the big game!

Here’s a list of the wines I presented on air:

Farnese ‘Primo’ Sangiovese/Merlot ~ Puglia, Italy

Villa deglia Olmi Prosecco ~ Veneto, Italy

Emendis ‘Nuallongé’ Cava Rosé ~ Penedès, Spain

Casa Silva Carmenere ~ Colchagua, Chile

Castillo de Jumilla Monastrell/Tempranillo ~ Jumilla, Spain

Montoya Pinot Noir ~ California

Josef Ehmoser Zweigelt Rosé ~ Wagram, Austria

De Wetshof ‘Limestone Hill’ (unoaked) Chardonnay ~ Western Cape, South Africa
