#SommelierSips

As per our announcement on Monday, featuring our new content calendar on Amusée, today we present our first #SommelierSips installment!

Every Wednesday, we bring you a fun new sip for your libation repertoire, both beer and wine suggestions.  Today, our recommendation includes one that can be used for any last minute gift ideas needed for the holidays!

While on the Fox 9 Morning Show yesterday morning, I suggested a fun little gift box of vino, paired to a great read for the holidays.  Perfect for girlfriends, moms, sisters, aunts or BFFs – this is one gift that will have your recipient happy to receive!

In the gift box, I placed two 375mL (half bottles) of Italian Prosecco, tied together two cute striped paper straws (I purchased at Target) and included a fun ‘bubbly’ read for the holiday to make my package complete.  The Widow Clicquot, a fabulous read by author Tilar J Mazzeo, is the story of Champagne Empress, Madame Clicquot, and her fascinating journey of how she eventually came to run the Champagne Empire.  411U0UNZusL._SY344_PJlook-inside-v2,TopRight,1,0_SH20_BO1,204,203,200_

Certainly, it would be just as easy to throw in a couple of half bottles of Veuve Clicquot Champange, to really tie the entire package together, however the price difference between the Astoria Lounge Prosecco and the Veuve Clicquot, quite a price gap.  The difference: roughly $10 for a half for the prosecco vs approx $28 for a half bottle of the Veuve.

Personally, I’m a fan of the Astoria Lounge Prosecco for fun wine gifts such as these.  The wine is fresh, zippy and bursting with delightful aromas of fresh apple, pear and bright stone fruit.  It is a very ‘gulpable’ bubbly in my opinion, making it a perfect sparkly for topping off holiday cocktails or to enjoy all by itself.

Together, this entire package came to $33 (inclusive of the wine, book and straws) – A Great Gift for any Bubbles Enthusiast in your life!

  1. That is super, Tammy! That is a price well below wholesale cost on that wine, I would buy it all up at that price!
    Good luck,
